Who are we? Dare Capital

Born out of a vision to educate and facilitate innovative businesses in unlocking new possibilities, we are Dare Capital Australia. Our primary focus revolves around the education and facilitation of financing for startups and research-intensive businesses.

Our mission is crystal clear, we want to create greater awareness and understanding of the non-dilutive capital that is available to businesses accessing the Australian Government’s Research and Development Tax Incentive. At Dare Capital, we are R&D Financing experts and being part of our community means you get access to our team's wealth of knowledge.

The reason why we’re so passionate about the R&D space is because we love developing long-lasting relationships with founders who dare to tackle the unknown.

We understand that capital is the driving force for startups and research-intensive businesses, but we’re also passionate about equipping our clients with the knowledge they need to lead their venture to success. We know that the R&D landscape is constantly evolving and changing, so we’re here to help you navigate the space and get the most value out of your R&D activities.

What is the benefit of Dare Capital?

We provide advances on your R&D tax incentive, so that you can access non-dilutive capital and continue operating before you get your R&D tax incentive at the end of the financial year.

Through our financing, you can access working capital and achieve your short-term objectives through loans of up to 80% of your R&D Rebate entitlement.

Dare Capital’s lending strategy also provides you with choice.

After getting your advance, you can either spend more funds on R&D sooner, or reduce your capital outlay by bringing forward your R&D Rebate to use in place of capital you would have had to spend out of your own pocket today.

Dare has multiple models under which you can drawdown upon your entitlement including:

  • Quarterly drawdowns — trigger multiple advances throughout the year based on your spend on R&D for that quarter. A Dare expert can display how, when used strategically, these loans provide the best benefit to your cash flow and net cash position at the end of the period. This is a result of the multiplier effect that can come from the reinvestment of advances throughout the year. Other benefits such as a significantly reduced capital outlay can also be achieved.
  • Once-off loans — can be used as bridging loans or injections of working capital to achieve short-term objectives that can have significant long-term effects.

At Dare, we are invested in your success. Contact us today and one of our financing experts will reach out to you!
